Cheese makers of Canterbury

An artisan cheesemaker in Kent with a variety of cheeses including the Ashmore range of naturally rinded hard cheddar style British Friesian cows milk cheese. The range includes 6 month old and 15 month old cheeses and blue and smoked varieties. They also produce camembert and brie style British Friesian cows milk cheese and various styles of goats cheese including cheddar and camembert styles and soft cheese rolled in herbs and chilli.

Colston Bassett Dairy
A member of the Stilton Cheesemakers Association so produces Blue and White Stilton. The dairy, based in Nottinghamshire, also produces Shropshire Blue a red coloured soft cheese containing blue veins.

Cote Hill
A Lincolnshire dairy producing Cote Hill Blue, a soft blue veined cheese. The dairy also produces Cote Hill Yellow, a soft creamy cheese with a mellow flavour which is brined, waxed and matured for two months. Their Cote Hill Red is a semi-hard cheese.

Cropwell Bishop
A Nottinghamshire member of the Stilton CheeseMakers Association. The dairy makes Blue Stilton and Organic Blue Stilton Cheese, it makes White Stilton Cheese and Speciality White Stilton Cheese and
Blue Shropshire Cheese.

Godsell’s Cheese
Based in Gloucestershire, Godsells make both double and single gloucester and a smoked version of a single gloucester style cheese. They also make a cheddar and a cheshire and a soft white cheese which has an aged (moulded) version also.

Leicestershire Handmade Cheese Company
A small artisan cheesemaker in South West Leicesteshire which revived farmhouse Red Leicester in the County. Their Sparkenhoe Red Leicester is made with unpasteurised milk. The also make Battlefield Blue and a 2-3 month aged cheese called Bosworth Field, both unpasteurised.

Linolnshire Poacher
Another artisan cheese maker in Lincolnshire specialising in a cheddar style cheese with four varieties: Poacher, Vintage (18-22 months), Oak Smoked and Double Barrel (2-3 years). They also make a Red Leicester style cheese.

Long Clawson Dairy
Located in the village of Long Clawson, Leicestershire 5 miles North of Melton Mowbray and a member of the Stilton Cheesemakers Association. the dairy makes Blue and White Stilton, Organic Blue Stilton and Blue Shropshire cheese. It also blends White Stilton with fruits to produce variety cheeses. The dairy also makes savoury cheeses blending cheddar with a variety of flavours. A recent introduction is an aged Red Leicester.

Teifi Farmhouse Cheese

Based in Wales, these artisan cheesemakers produce twelve styles of cheese. Teifi Original is a gouda style cheese which is also available with Seaweed (Laverbread), Nettles, Cumin Seed, and Sweet Pepper.
